BICESTER SEX OFFENDER SENTENCED FOR CHILD SEXUAL ASSAULT

A 33-year-old man named Jordan Dunn from Graven Hill Road, Ambrosden, near Bicester, has been convicted of sexually assaulting a 10-year-old girl in his 30s.

He pleaded guilty to two counts of assault by penetration of the young girl.

The court proceedings revealed that the assaults occurred on March 9 and 11 of the current year.

Dunn was sentenced at Oxford Crown Court to a term of seven years and four months in prison.

During the sentencing, two victim personal statements were read: the girl's family highlighted the emotional and psychological damage inflicted, with her mother expressing her deep sorrow and describing how her child’s innocence had been stolen, causing ongoing trauma that led to missed school and emotional harm.

The court also heard that Dunn had entered the girl’s bed and touched her private areas, and the girl reported feeling hurt, uncomfortable, and upset.

In mitigation, Dunn's remorse was acknowledged, and it was stated that he is genuinely sorry and supportive from his family.

Judge Maria Lamb emphasized that Dunn exploited the opportunity to assault the girl not once but twice, for his own sexual gratification, warning that the ripple effect of his actions cannot be underestimated.

As part of his sentence, he was ordered to register as a sex offender, and will be subject to a sexual harm prevention order and a restraining order indefinitely.
