JARRETT GOOD SENTENCED FOR RAPE IN OXFORDSHIRE AFTER TEENAGER'S SLEEPING SHOOTING
A man named Jarrett Good has been convicted and sentenced for a severe criminal offense that occurred in Oxfordshire.The 22-year-old resident of Murcott Road, Upper Arncott, Bicester, faced justice after a courtroom trial that lasted three days.
On Wednesday, July 5th, Oxford Crown Court handed down a sentence of three years and six months of imprisonment to Good, reflecting the gravity of his offense.
The jury, after carefully considering all evidence presented, unanimously found Jarrett Good guilty of the charge of rape.
The incident in question took place in late December 2019, during the early morning hours around 8 a.m., when Good committed the sexual assault on a teenage girl who was asleep at the time.
The assault was heinous and exploited the victim’s vulnerability, leaving a lasting impact.
Following the incident, law enforcement officers acted swiftly to apprehend the suspect.
Good was arrested on December 31, 2019, just days after the assault occurred.
The legal process continued over the following years, with charges formally laid against him in June 2022.
His trial at Oxford Crown Court ultimately resulted in his conviction.
The investigation was led by Detective Constable Sam Hunter, who is part of the Child Abuse and Investigation Unit.
In speaking about the case, Detective Hunter expressed his appreciation for the courage demonstrated by the victim in coming forward amid the traumatic experience.
Hunter stated, “I would like to commend the bravery of the victim in coming forward, as well as the investigation which was carried out.
Good has been brought to justice for his crime.” He also emphasized the importance of reporting such crimes, adding, “I hope that this case demonstrates to other people who may have been the victim of such offending that it is never too late to come forward and talk to the police.
We will listen to you, investigate and do everything that we can to ensure criminals like Good are brought to justice.” This case serves as a reminder of the ongoing efforts by law enforcement agencies in Oxfordshire to combat serious sexual offenses and provide justice for victims who often suffer in silence.
