MAN CHARGED WITH RAPE AFTER POLICE CALLED TO STECHFORD ADDRESS

A man was charged with rape and a woman with wounding after police were called to an address in Birmingham.

Jordan Christopher, 42, was charged with rape, wounding and strangulation.

Lisa Yates, 53, has been charged with wounding.

Both were due to appear at Birmingham Magistrates' Court.

The victim was being cared for by specially-trained officers, the force said.

It said in a statement: "We were called to reports a woman had been raped and assaulted at a property in Stechford on December 16.

A man and a woman were arrested and the victim is being supported by our specialist officers.
