UK POLICE OFFICER SACKED FOR SENDING SEXUAL VIDEOS WHILE IN UNIFORM
A police officer identified as PC Jonathan Finch from the Isle of Wight has been dismissed from Hampshire Constabulary after it was found he sent a total of 771 messages via WhatsApp, the majority of which were described as sexual in nature.During these messages, Finch allegedly arranged sexual activities, exhibiting gross misconduct and contravening the professional standards expected of police personnel.
The disciplinary hearing also uncovered that Finch falsely claimed overtime payments for hours he did not work.
Hampshire Deputy Chief Constable Sara Glen emphasized that maintaining public trust requires officers to uphold high standards of honesty and integrity at all times, especially when on duty.
Finch's misconduct is part of a broader context of previous issues within Hampshire Constabulary, including reports of officers in a 'toxic' team using racist, sexist, and homophobic language, which led to disciplinary actions.
Finch was dismissed without notice following the findings of the hearing, which deemed his actions a breach of professional behavior and a serious breach of police standards.
