2006: JEALOUS MAN WHO ATTACKED EX PARTNER JAILED
A man who used to work as a firefighter in Dudley has received an 18-month prison sentence after violently attacking his partner in a fit of jealousy.John Morgan, aged 59, lost his temper after Beverley Holloway spent a day with a man with whom she had a sexual relationship.
When she came home, Morgan tore off her clothes and subjected her to a prolonged assault lasting about two hours, during which he punched and kicked her body.
Morgan, with over 27 years of experience in the Fire Service, explained to police that his rage was fueled by jealousy.
Their relationship had been fraught with jealousy issues in the past.
The assault included him additionally hitting her with her high-heeled shoes.
Morgan admitted to causing actual bodily harm through assault.
Their decade-long relationship initially faced difficulties because both parties were married when they began seeing each other.
Following the incident, Mrs Holloway has spoken of her love for Morgan and her desire to repair their relationship.
