DUMBARTON CHILD ABUSE IMAGES MAN JOHN MCAULAY FACES SENTENCE IN SCANDAL INVOLVING LOCAL RESIDENTS
In March 2013, a significant legal development occurred involving John McAulay, a resident of Dumbarton, who was implicated in a disturbing case related to the possession of child abuse images.The 63-year-old man, who is known to have identified as a transsexual, was found to have stored approximately 350 explicit images of children on a laptop that was located within his home in Dumbarton.
During a court session at Dumbarton Sheriff Court last week, it was revealed that the social work department had been unable to complete a report that the court had previously requested.

In police interviews, McAulay explained that his wife was unaware of the contents stored on the computer and did not use it.
He further disclosed to officers that he identified as Victoria Seasons, describing her as his "alter ego" and confirming his transsexual identity.

As a result of the unresolved report, Sheriff Simon Fraser decided to defer the sentencing of John McAulay until April 10.
