BOURNEMOUTH MAN JAILED FOR BRUTAL SEXUAL ASSAULT AND FALSE IMPRISONMENT

A man named John Macey was convicted of false imprisonment and causing a male to engage in sexual activity without his consent.

The incident occurred after Macey met his victim at a Bournemouth nightclub called Lava Ignite and invited him back to his flat on Crescent Road.

The victim, who was described as 'very drunk,' was assaulted after arriving at Macey’s residence in the early hours.

Prosecutor Michael Butt stated that Macey offered to pay for a taxi for the victim’s friend but later took the victim in a taxi alone.

Once at Macey's flat, the victim sustained injuries including black eyes, bruises to his chest and neck, and chipped front teeth, the cause of which remains unclear.

Inside, Macey forced the victim to strip and lie on the bed, then coerced him into sexual acts.

Despite begging to leave, the victim was detained until 7am, with Macey warning him, 'If you tell the police, I’ll find you.' The court heard that Macey had a history of sexual offenses, having previously been jailed for four years in 2003 for forcing another male into sex acts.

The judge described Macey as a dangerous offender and sentenced him to an indeterminate period of imprisonment.

Macey's previous conviction was from Chelmsford Crown Court, where he was ordered to register as a sex offender for life.
