2002: A man convicted of multiple sexual offenses has received a 13-year prison sentence for abusing a young girl.

John Hockey, aged 62 and from Radcliffe, was convicted of 25 charges spanning a decade at Manchester's Minshull Street Crown Court.

His convictions include two counts of indecency with a child under 14, eight counts of indecent assault on a person under 16, and 15 counts of rape.
