JOHN BIRCHALL FROM STOURBRIDGE SENTENCED FOR HISTORIC SEXUAL OFFENSES AGAINST SCHOOLBOY IN THE 90S
In a case that has resurfaced painful memories from the past, John Birchall, a 66-year-old resident of Farm Road in Stourbridge, was sentenced to 40 months in prison for a series of sexual assaults committed against a young schoolboy during the 1990s.The offences, which spanned from 1992 to 1997, involved seven separate charges of indecent assault, all of which Birchall admitted to during his court hearing.
Judge Martin Walsh presided over the case at Wolverhampton Crown Court and acknowledged the profound impact these crimes had on the victim.
