PARGAN SINGH BHANDAL SENTENCED IN STOURBRIDGE FOR DOMESTIC HOMICIDE OF WIFE GIAN BHANDAL
Pargan Singh Bhandal was involved in a case concerning the death of his wife, Gian Bhandal, who was 82 years old.She was found dead at their home in Stourbridge on January 22 of the previous year.
Initially, her death was not considered suspicious, and authorities believed she had died of natural causes.
However, further investigations, including a post-mortem examination, uncovered serious injuries—specifically a series of rib and arm fractures, with 16 rib fractures and extensive bruising from multiple blows.
Despite being considered mentally fit at his arrest in February 2020, Pargan Singh Bhandal’s health declined later, rendering him unfit to stand trial.
The case was ultimately classified as a domestic homicide, and a jury at Northampton Crown Court determined that Gian Bhandal's death was unlawful after a trial of facts.
Authorities confirmed that the incident involved domestic violence, and efforts for justice were pursued to hold him accountable for these serious acts against his wife.
