MAN GUILTY OF CHILD SEXUAL OFFENCE JAILED
A man from the West Midlands appeared before Swindon Crown Court on 18 March and received a sentence exceeding six years after admitting guilt to a sexual offence involving a minor.Thomas Brewerton, aged 25 and residing on Cot Lane in Stourbridge, was taken into custody by officers from SWROCU in November of the previous year.
He had traveled from his residence to Swindon with the apparent intent of sexually abusing a girl under 13.
However, law enforcement officers intercepted him before the assault could occur.
Brewerton admitted to attempting or arranging the sexual activity with a child under 13, specifically involving penetration.
Following his plea, he was held in custody.
The court today sentenced Brewerton to six years and four months in prison, and also imposed an indefinite Sexual Harm Prevention Order to restrict future conduct.
