ABERDEEN PRIEST JOHN ANGUS MACDONALD ACCUSED OF CHILD SEXUAL ABUSE IN THE WESTERN ISLES

A 69-year-old priest named Father John Angus MacDonald has appeared before a high court in Aberdeen to face serious allegations of sexual abuse involving children, with accusations dating back to the late 1950s. The court was presented with disturbing accounts that detailed MacDonald's alleged misconduct during that period, including claims that he repeatedly assaulted a young girl at a property located in the Western Isles, specifically within the remote and rugged landscape of the Outer Hebrides, between the years 1957 and 1958.

One of the victims, now aged 63, provided a harrowing testimony describing how MacDonald would take him on walks, during which the priest would expose himself in a manner that left a lasting impression of fear and shame. The court heard that MacDonald allegedly drove victims to secluded spots near a hill, where he engaged in lewd acts that made the young boy feel insignificant and utterly horrible.
