CHILD ABUSER HAS BEEN HIT WITH COMMUNITY SERVICE
A MAN who assaulted two children has been slapped with community service.John Anderson, 30, from Glasgow appeared at Ayr Sheriff Court last week where he admitted to assaulting the two youngsters between May 1 and July 3 this year.
The court heard how Anderson assaulted the two kids at a property in Ayr.
Depute fiscal, Kirsty Urquhart said: "The child told his grandmother that he had been assaulted by the accused and showed his grandmother a video of the accused hitting another child in the family with a pillow." The two children then admitted that Anderson had been hitting them.
The charges against Anderson were that he he slapped one of the children and he grabbed the other by his feet and dragged him out of bed onto the floor.
Defense solicitor, Glenn Davis said: "The explanation for Mr Anderson's conduct is that he was frustrated by the children's obedience." Sheriff John Montgomery ordered Anderson to do 120 hours of unpaid work and placed him under supervision for a year.
