WREXHAM WOMAN JAILED FOR PARTNER'S FATAL STABBING IN DRUNKEN RAGE
A woman from Pentre Gwyn, Wrexham, named Joanna Katarzyna Wronska, aged 51, was convicted of fatally stabbing her partner, Marcin Koziol, inside their residence in October 2023.
The attack occurred during a moment of intense anger while she was intoxicated.
She stabbed Mr.
Koziol in the chest using a 20cm knife, then washed the weapon in the kitchen sink to try to hide what she had done.
Emergency services responded at about 6pm that evening, and police found Mr.
Koziol bleeding on his bed from a single stab wound to his chest and lung, which proved fatal.
Wronska initially claimed that her partner had hurt himself and that he was in shock, denying any argument or violence.
Forensic experts later concluded that her actions, particularly cleaning the knife, indicated she had deliberately stabbed Mr.
Koziol and was attempting to cover her tracks.
Following a nine-day trial, the jury convicted her, and the judge sentenced her to life imprisonment with a minimum of 15 years and four months, condemning the tragedy and the loss of her future in the process.
