NEWPORT MAN CHARGED WITH FLASHING AND ASSAULTING PC
A MAN has been charged with flashing and assaulting a police constable.
Jed Merry, 53, from Newport appeared before the city’s magistrates’ court to face a number of allegations.
He’s accused of exposure, assaulting an emergency worker, common assault, causing racially aggravated harassment, alarm or distress and damaging a Gwent Police van.
The prosecution claims he did so in Newport and Cwmbran between April 24 and May 12.
Merry, of no fixed abode, is due to appear in the crown court on June 9.
