ISLE OF WIGHT PRISONER GUILTY OF SEXUAL ASSAULT ON GUARD
A serving Isle of Wight prisoner found guilty of squeezing the buttocks of a female prison officer has been sentenced.
The case of Jason Hobson, of HMP Isle of Wight, went before Island magistrates on Wednesday, January 28.
The 43-year-old was found guilty at trial of sexual assault on a female, in Newport, on September 9, 2024.
At a previous hearing in March last year, the court heard he squeezed the buttocks of a prison guard and made a strange growling noise in their ear.
Hobson was handed a 16-week jail term, to run consecutively with his current sentence.
He was also made subject of police notification requirements for the next seven years and ordered to pay a £154 surcharge.
