PERTH FIREFIGHTER (JAMIE SCOTT) JAILED FOR SEXUAL ASSAULT ATTEMPTS
A disgraced Perth firefighter who tried to drag a woman down a darkened alleyway to rape her has been locked up.Serial sex attacker Jamie Scott snorted cocaine before “prowling the streets of Dundee” in the early hours of October 24 2023, when he spotted his victim walking home alone.
He sidled up to her, asked her to pretend to be his girlfriend and then attempted to pull her by the hand into the shadows.
Scott, 34, was convicted of assaulting the woman with the intent to rape her following a retrial at Perth Sheriff Court.
He was further found guilty of sexually assaulting two other women in Perth and stalking one of them over a 16-week period.
An earlier trial in September had to be abandoned after a juror was found to have looked up information on his phone and shared his findings with other jury members.
Scott, who was remanded after vanishing midway through his second trial, was placed on the sex offenders register and will be sentenced next month.
