MET POLICE SUPERINTENDENT FACES COURT OVER ALLEGED SEXUAL ASSAULTS
A senior policeman from the Metropolitan Police, Superintendent Jamie Gordon, aged 41, has appeared in court charged with attempted rape and two counts of sexual assault.
It is alleged that Mr.
Gordon assaulted a woman on two separate occasions, specifically on 8 and 19 December 2023, in Sutton, south London.
According to reports, all three alleged offences took place against the same woman.
Mr.
Gordon, who is from Rochester in Kent, appeared at Southwark Crown Court on a Friday, where he denied the charge of sexual assault relating to the December 19 incident and was not asked to enter pleas for the other two charges involving attempted rape and sexual assault.
He was subsequently released on conditional bail until his next court appearance scheduled for 11 February.
Mr.
Gordon was suspended from his duties with the South East Command Unit in January 2024.
