A man launched a glass bottle at his partner’s face after she informed him that their relationship had ended.
Jamie Bunn, aged 47, was involved in a dispute with the victim at her residence in Newark, Peterborough, on July 27 of the previous year.
During the confrontation, he picked up a bottle and threw it toward her.
Thankfully, she did not sustain any serious harm.
The next day, Bunn forcibly entered the flat and caused damage by smashing a window, dislodging a door, smashing crockery, and creating a hole in the living room wall.
He also physically assaulted the victim by hitting her on the head, scratching her, and kicking her.
When interviewed by police, the victim revealed that Bunn had previously punched her in the face in May of that year, culminating in a black eye.
On April 7, at Peterborough Magistrates’ Court acting in its crown court capacity, Bunn, who had no fixed address, was sentenced to nine months in prison after admitting to three counts of assault and criminal damage.
Additionally, he admitted to using violence to gain entry to a property and received no separate punishment for that offence.
