2013: TEENAGE GANG JAILED FOR SEX WITH UNDERAGE GIRL IN DROITWICH PARK

THREE teenagers who had sex with a 14-year-old schoolgirl in a Droitwich park and a fourth who filmed the depravity on a mobile phone have been locked up by a judge.

The victim was drunk on half a litre of vodka and had not consented to acts which began with her trousers being pulled down.

She sent a text next day which read: "I ain't doing anything like that again.

I'm turning into a bit of a slag," Worcester Crown Court heard.

She had been seeing one of the youths before the encounter and was found unconscious by a passerby who alerted her parents.

Sentencing the youths to 12 months detention each, Judge Robert Juckes QC described the offence as "truly dreadful" and said they had "mixed sexual fantasy" by the use of a camera with real life - with "dreadful consequences".

He watched the short film which was recovered by police and noted that that it must have been done for the gang to show off to their friends at school.

The judge told the teenagers: "The film suggests slippage into truly barbaric behaviour, the loss of civilised standards.

This child was used by the four of you for your sexual pleasure.

Two of you laughed afterwards and suggested another occasion." James Rogers, aged 18, of Stalls Farm Road, Droitwich, two 16-year-olds from Droitwich and one 15-year-old from Bromsgrove pleaded guilty to sexual activity with a child.

Tne 16-year-old also admitted making indecent photographs of a child by a making a phone recording.

The three younger defendants cannot be identfied for legal reasons.

All four must sign the sex offenders' register for five years.

Prosecutor James Dunstan said the girl knew most of the youths and had been in a sexual relationship with one of the younger ones.

They had all been drinking in Vines Park on September 24, 2011.

The girl sat on one youth's lap before being called into trees.

Film footage showed her lying on her back with her eyes closed.

She was pulled to her feet after sex but fell over.

The group then moved to the nearby lido where the girl passed out.

She was sick after coming round.

Two youths boasted about the sex and a third suggested "second rounds", said Mr Dunstan.

The girl broke down in school after rumours began circulating.

Defence lawyers said the youths believed the girl was consenting to sex.

Simon Burns, for Rogers, said: "This was adolescent behaviour in drink, which was regretted afterwards.

They were all behaving as badly as each other." He said the building worker was deeply ashamed and terrified of the prospect of being in detention.

Jason Aris, for the Droitwich 16-year-old, said he was a bright youth who was a school prefect.

"He made an error of judgement," he added.

Delroy Henry, for the other 16-year-old, said he filmed the offence but had not distributed it to others.

He argued that the youth should be treated more leniently.

But the judge said the "despicable" use of a phone put him at the same level as the others.

Nigel Stelling, for the 15-year-old, said he had a college place and had hoped to go on to university.
