DROITWICH MAN AVOIDS JAIL AFTER SICK IMAGES OF CHILDREN AND ANIMALS
A man escaped imprisonment after admitting to creating disturbing images of children and animals.
Kirt Tabberer, residing at Little Hill in Droitwich, was sentenced to a community order lasting three years.
The 35-year-old was identified following the upload of a category C indecent photo of a child to a Snapchat account in 2019.
Police investigations traced the account back to him, leading to his arrest on suspicion of possessing and sharing indecent images.
Authorities also seized electronic devices, including a mobile phone containing extreme pornography, and he was further detained on suspicion of possessing such material.
Initially, Tabberer denied the allegations, claiming his device had been hacked, but forensic analysis of his digital devices disproved this.
He later changed his plea to guilty before going to trial.
He was found guilty on multiple charges: producing 62 category A indecent images of a child, 35 of category B, and three of category C, along with possessing two extreme pornographic images.
He received a three-year community order for each count, to be served simultaneously.
Additionally, he is required to register as a sex offender for five years, observe a three-month electronically tagged curfew, and is subject to a five-year Sexual Harm Prevention Order.
He must also pay costs amounting to £1,200 and an £85 victim surcharge.
His electronic devices will be confiscated.
Detective Constable David Wood from West Mercia Police praised the investigation team, stating: “This outcome resulted from the excellent work of our Digital Forensic Team, who countered Tabberer’s denials and presented strong evidence leading to his guilty plea.
Despite his attempts to deny responsibility, our digital investigators uncovered the appalling material and dismantled his claims made during interviews.
Their professionalism and dedication reflect their commitment to protecting the community.”
