JAMES MIDDLETON FROM BURY AND SETTLE SENTENCED FOR CHILD PORN AND BESTIALITY IMAGES
In a case that has shocked the local communities of Bury and Settle, James Middleton has been sentenced at Bradford Crown Court for possessing a disturbing collection of child pornography and bestiality images. The court heard that Middleton, aged 24 and formerly residing in Mill Close, Settle, had pleaded guilty to multiple charges related to the creation and possession of indecent images of children, as well as extreme pornographic material involving animals and humans.During the proceedings, the judge emphasized the gravity of Middleton’s actions, stating, “The public are rightly disgusted by this activity and victims must be protected.” The court was presented with a detailed account of Middleton’s offenses, which spanned from April 2010 to September 2012. The evidence included a total of 439 photographs and three videos classified at the lowest level of severity, known as level one. Additionally, there were 25 photographs and two videos at level two, 111 photographs and six videos at level three, and a further 147 photographs along with 33 videos at level four, indicating increasing severity.
Most disturbingly, the court revealed that Middleton possessed seven photographs at the highest level, level five, which depicted sadism and acts of bestiality. Beyond these, Middleton also admitted to possessing 60 prohibited images of children, along with 30 extreme pornographic images involving both humans and animals. These findings paint a disturbing picture of the extent of his illegal collection.
Following the guilty plea, Judge Jonathan Durham Hall QC delivered the sentence, which included a three-year community order. This order requires Middleton to undergo supervision and participate in a specialized sexual offender treatment program. Middleton, who is now residing in Bury, was thus held accountable for his actions, with the court emphasizing the importance of protecting society from such deviant behavior and ensuring that offenders receive appropriate intervention.
