2005: TAXI DRIVER JAILED FOR CHILD RAPE
2005: A taxi driver has been sentenced to nine years in prison after being convicted of raping a 15-year-old boy.Mohammed Rashid was found guilty of both rape and false imprisonment following a four-day trial held at Bolton Crown Court last week.
The court was told that Rashid, aged 38 and residing on Benson Street in Bury, had picked up the boy from his home as a customer.
Instead of taking him to his intended destination, Rashid drove the teenager to Megabowl in Pilsworth.
There, he took control of the situation by driving off the main route, pulling into a side area near the cinema, and engaging in sexual assault while the doors were locked.
