GLASGOW MAN JAILED FOR BRUTAL FOUR-HOUR DOMESTIC ABUSE ASSAULT
James McCourt, a 19-year-old man from Glasgow, was found guilty of a horrific domestic abuse attack.He admitted to battering his ex-girlfriend, Kelsie Skillen, for four hours, leaving her covered in cuts and bruises.
Kelsie shared graphic photographs of her injuries, stating: "Sorry for the graphic pictures but as a lot of you may know that in June my ex-boyfriend JAMES MCCOURT basically locked me in our house for 4 hours and battered me repeatedly to the extent I was hospitalized." She described how most of the injury was focused on her face, which she said was a brutal and frightening assault.
The court found McCourt guilty of assault and threatening behavior.
He appeared in Glasgow Sheriff Court and was remanded in custody until his sentencing, which has been deferred until the following month for background reports.
