TRURO MAN PLEADS GUILTY TO COERCIVE BEHAVIOUR AGAINST WOMAN
JAMES LOBB, aged 51 and residing on River Street in Truro, admitted at Truro Crown Court to engaging in coercive conduct directed at a woman in St Austell.The offences took place between January 2022 and December 2024 and included repeated acts of physical and sexual violence, confiscation of her phone, sending abusive messages, and verbal abuse.
He received a sentence of two years in prison, suspended for two years.
Additionally, he is required to wear an electronic monitoring tag until 11 March to track his location.
Lobb must complete 180 hours of unpaid community service and is subject to a restraining order that prohibits him from contacting the victim or visiting any address where she might be residing.
