GATESHEAD MAN JAILED FOR RAPE AFTER SELF-REPORT AND GUILTY VERDICT
A man named James Gregory, aged 32, was convicted and sentenced to eight years in prison for a serious sexual assault. According to court reports, Gregory called police shortly after attacking a woman and openly admitted to the assault, stating he had "pretty much raped" her with "unconsented" intercourse. Despite his confession, he later denied the rape, claiming he had made a false confession, but the jury found him guilty.
