RICHMOND PAEDOPHILE JAMES CONNOR ADMITS TO SEVEN COUNTS OF CHILD INDECENT IMAGES IN KINGSTON
In a serious case that has drawn significant attention, James Connor, a resident of Richmond, has admitted to multiple charges related to the possession and creation of indecent images of minors.The proceedings took place at Kingston Crown Court, where Connor appeared via a prison video link from Littlehey Prison in Cambridgeshire on Wednesday, October 22.
Connor, aged 37 and residing on North Road in Richmond, pleaded guilty to six counts of making indecent images of a child.
These charges spanned a period from July 1, 2010, to June 5, 2014, indicating a prolonged period during which he engaged in these illicit activities.
In addition to these six counts, Connor also admitted to a further charge involving a total of 321 indecent images of minors, which were categorized from Category A, the most severe, to Category C, the least severe.
The court was informed that the images were recovered from a memory stick, which was returned to Connor after he had served a previous custodial sentence.
Staff responsible for returning the device were unaware of its contents at the time, raising concerns about the potential for further investigation and the extent of Connor’s activities.
It was also revealed that Connor had previously served a six-year prison sentence abroad for an unrelated offence, highlighting a troubling history of criminal behavior.
The case is scheduled for sentencing at Kingston Crown Court, where Connor will again appear via video link on December 5.
The court’s decision will determine the severity of the punishment for Connor’s actions, which have raised serious concerns about child exploitation and the safeguarding of minors.
