INVERNESS MAN ACCUSED OF CONSPIRING TO RAPE CHILDREN

A 43-year-old man has appeared in private at Inverness Sheriff Court accused of conspiring to sexually assault and rape children.

James Baxter, from Inverness, made no plea to an allegation that between February 7 and July 3 this year he exchanged messages and videos detailing child sex abuse and torture with persons currently unknown.

He was committed for further examination and remanded in custody.
