Offender James Barron jailed for horrifying rape and terrorising ex

OFFENDER JAMES BARRON JAILED FOR HORRIFYING RAPE AND TERRORISING EX

Chloe Kane has recently witnessed her attacker and rapist, James Barron, being incarcerated.

However, she admits to feeling as though her time is still limited, living with the constant fear that her ex-partner and tormentor remains a threat while he is behind bars.

Barron was found guilty and given a sentence of over seven years, specifically seven years and three months, at Newcastle Crown Court after admitting to charges of rape, criminal damage, violating a restraining order, and causing common assault.

The court was informed that in November 2025, Barron committed a brutal assault on Chloe, raping her at her Newcastle residence where she lives with her four children.

Despite previous court and restraining orders, Barron continued to intimidate Chloe through threats—such as messages in which he threatened to strangle her—and acts of vandalism, including smashing a window.

In 2024, he received a 24-month community order following threats to kill her and breaching a restraining order.

After Chloe ended her relationship and moved in with her mother, Barron’s harassment intensified, eventually leading to the assault.

She voiced her concerns that even her incarceration might not ensure her safety and revealed her ongoing emotional struggles as she copes with the trauma of the attack.
