EAST KILBRIDE MAN PLEADS GUILTY TO CHILD SEX ACTS INVOLVING YOUNG GIRLS
Aitchison, 46, from East Kilbride, Lanarkshire, engaged in disturbing and criminal behavior involving young girls. He took a bath with two young schoolgirls, aged eight and six, and initially asked them to wash him.
During the incident, he made one of the girls perform a sex act on him.
The situation escalated when one girl left the bathroom, leaving the other alone with Aitchison, who continued to cause harm.
This abuse was not disclosed immediately but came to light later when both girls confided in adults.
Aitchison was eventually traced and arrested after the police were informed.
He pleaded guilty at Glasgow Sheriff Court to two charges of causing a child to participate in sexual activity, with the offenses occurring between November 2018 and October 2020.
The court was told that a woman caring for the girls heard them discussing the bath in December 2021.
Prosecutor Danielle McGuinness detailed that Aitchison asked the girls to wash his back and touch his genital area, and made one girl perform sex acts in the bath.
The case was deferred for background reports, but Aitchison was placed on the sex offenders register while bail was granted.
The court's verdict and sentencing are pending further proceedings.
