VIOLENT PETERLEE THUG JACK ROBINSON JAILED FOR BRUTAL ASSAULTS ON TWO WOMEN
Jack Robinson, of Little Eden, Peterlee, pleaded guilty to two charges of intentional strangulation, theft, controlling and coercive behaviour, and two counts of assault, on the two women in 2024 and 2025.He repeatedly stole money from the first woman to buy drugs before he grabbed her by the throat when he confronted her about whether he was the father of her twins.
The 28-year-old then went on to violently assault another woman he was in a relationship with, the court heard.
Prosecutor Nicoleta Alistari said Robinson stole a total of £9,908.15 from the first victim when he regularly withdrew money from her ISA and bank account without her knowledge.
He questioned whether he was the father of her twins, and when a DNA test came back inconclusive, he was aggressive towards her, snatching her phone, grabbing her by the throat and pushing her against the wall, holding her with such force that he was almost lifting her off the floor.
He also stamped on her foot and grabbed her by the hair before police arrested him.
Regarding the second victim, she said Robinson broke the lock on the bathroom door to prevent her from hiding and took her phone, displaying paranoia about her contacting other men or the police.
He carried out a campaign of violence, including hitting her head off a tumble dryer, jumping over a bannister, and kicking her to the ground.
Robinson pleaded guilty to two charges of intentional strangulation, theft, controlling and coercive behaviour, and two counts of assault on these women in 2024 and 2025.
Judge Richard Clews sentenced him to three years in prison for all offences.
The pre-sentence report indicated he is capable of hard work and is supported by his family.
The judge expressed disappointment in his misuse of intelligence and his appalling treatment of both women.
