JACK MCINALLY AND TWO OTHERS SENTENCED IN COVENTRY FOR SEXUAL EXPLOITATION OF 14-YEAR-OLD GIRL
Three men responsible for forcing a 14-year-old girl into prostitution and administering drugs have been sentenced for their roles in her sexual exploitation. Jake Cairns, aged 21, received an eight-year prison term. Brandon Sharples, aged 20, and Jack McInally, aged 21, each received five-year sentences. The offenders took explicit photographs of the teen and posted an advertisement claiming she was 18 on an escort website. All three men, from Coventry, were convicted of these crimes in November. The girl was held at an address in Coventry for five days. The police investigation was launched after she went missing from a relative's home on June 8, 2015. During this time, the men visited the property and paid for sex with her over a span of three days, with authorities estimating that around 20 men were involved. She was rescued during a police raid on June 13, 2015, found dressed only in her underwear and attempting to escape through a first-floor window.
Cairns, from Cheveral Avenue in Radford, was additionally charged with distributing indecent photographs of a child. The three men were all sentenced for arranging or facilitating the sexual exploitation of a child, with Cairns receiving an extra charge for distributing indecent images. They were also given strict 10-year sexual harm prevention orders and were ordered to register on the sex offenders register for life.
An NSPCC spokesperson commented on the case, emphasizing the heinous exploitation of a vulnerable young girl and praising the sentences. The spokesperson also highlighted the importance of reporting any concerns related to child sexual abuse.
