AYR COURT: MAN CAUGHT WITH CHILD ABUSE AND ANIMAL PORN PICS SENTENCED
A MAN caught with child abuse pictures as well as pornography involving animals has been placed on the sex offenders register.Jack Hill admitted hoarding more than 100 indecent images of children, with 35 at category A - the worst level of child sexual abuse - with a further 20 in category B and 41 at C.
The 31-year-old pleaded guilty to possession of indecent photographs or pseudo-photographs of children at his address in Union Arcade, Ayr, between April 18 and July 23, 2024, when he appeared at Ayr Sheriff Court last week.
He pleaded guilty to a second charge of possessing extreme pornographic images depicting in an explicit and realistic way people engaging in sexual activities with animals.
The Crown prosecutor told the court that Hill had 96 still and 51 moving bestiality images between March 26 and September 7 last year.
Hill, represented by defence solicitor John Gallagher, pleaded guilty to both charges during a brief early plea hearing.
Sheriff Michael Meehan deferred sentencing for criminal justice social work reports as well as a restriction of liberty order and risk assessment.
He was also placed on the sex offenders register and made subject to police notification requirements.
Hill is due to return for sentencing next month.

When he returned to Ayr Sheriff Court for sentencing, Hill was placed on a three-year community payback order with supervision as an alternative to custody.
He was also ordered to take part in the Moving Forward, Making Changes programme, which aims to address sex offenders' behaviour, for the same period.
Hill was placed on the sex offenders register for three years, with a further sexual harm prevention order imposed that will run for eight years.
He must not have contact with anyone under 18, unless inadvertently, without permission from supervising officers, and any contact must be supervised by a responsible adult.
He must also permit his internet-enabled devices for inspection, provide usernames and passwords, and must not delete internet browsing history or communications.
