AMMANFORD MAN JAILED FOR CONTROLLING BEHAVIOUR AND ASSAULTS IN TENBY AND LONDON
An Ammanford man has been jailed for more than three years after admitting to a series of violent offenses against his partner, another man, a police officer, and three additional victims in London.
Jack Griffiths, 23, of High Street, Ammanford, appeared at Swansea Crown Court where he pleaded guilty to engaging in controlling and coercive behaviour between October 2023 and May 2024, during which he dictated his partner's eating habits, whom she spoke to, and what she watched on television.
On 17 May this year, Griffiths assaulted his partner and another man at a holiday let in Tenby and also attacked a police officer when police arrived.
He also admitted three assaults in Haringey, London, on 30 November 2023, where he targeted three men.
Griffiths pleaded guilty to controlling or coercive behaviour, two counts of assault occasioning actual bodily harm, an assault on a police officer, and additional assaults in London.
He was sentenced to three years and nine months in prison, and his ex-partner was granted a 10-year restraining order to protect her from further contact.
