CROSSHOUSE DOCTOR AVOIDS JAIL AFTER SHOUTING AT ELDERLY WIFE
A CROSSHOUSE doctor who shouted aggressively at his wife awaits his fate after police were called out to his home in Ayr.Itamar Felsenstein, aged 61, pleaded guilty to causing fear and alarm through threatening or abusive behaviour during the incident at his previous address in Inverkar Road, Ayr on April 25 this year.
The court was told how Felsenstein repeatedly shouted at his wife, who is 76, inside their property while acting in an aggressive manner.
The allegation states that the threatening behaviour was aggravated by involving abuse of a partner or ex-partner.
When he returned to Ayr Sheriff Court last week, his defence solicitor indicated that the case was deferred for good behaviour, noting that he has been of good conduct and is attending psychotherapy.
Sheriff Siobhan Connelly decided to further defer the sentence for three months to observe his behaviour and progress, with a further report to be prepared before a sentencing date later in the year.
Felsenstein is now residing in Hughenden Lane, Glasgow, and is listed as a doctor at Crosshouse Hospital.
