INVERNESS MAN BREACHES HARASSMENT ORDER FOR FORBIDDEN VISIT

A 50-year-old offshore worker named Ian Sutherland has breached a strict non-harassment order by traveling to Highland Perthshire to see a woman he was warned to stay away from.

The incident took place at Tummel Valley Holiday Park between August 1 and 30, after he had been ordered to avoid contact with this woman following a hearing at Inverness Sheriff Court in March.

Sutherland admitted to repeatedly approaching or contacting her during this period.

He appeared at Perth Sheriff Court and the sentencing was deferred until October 13.

Despite being released on bail, the court reminded him that the non-harassment order remained in effect.
