Ian Rodger's persistent offending has been punished with eight months behind bars. The 61-year-old, of Dundonald Park, Cardenden, appeared for sentencing at Dunfermline Sheriff Court via video link to prison.
Sheriff Garry Sutherland sentenced Rodger to a total of eight months and placed him on the Sex Offenders Register for seven years.
He was also issued with a five-year Sexual Offences Prevention Order.
Previously, Rodger pled guilty to making sexual remarks towards two 13-year-old boys outside Tesco Express in Station Road, Cardenden, on January 13 of the previous year.
He left a pub intoxicated, called police for a lift, and then engaged in inappropriate behaviour outside the shop, asking boys if they wanted a threesome and attempting to see their genitals.
Rodger also approached a 17-year-old boy, asking if he wanted to come home with him.
Additionally, Rodger admitted to repeatedly misusing the emergency network by making false 999 calls about his hamster and other non-police matters, causing annoyance and needless anxiety to call handlers.
His calls included reports of a hamster under his floorboards and a pan with oil on the hob.
The court was told Rodger has a criminal record, and he suffers from alcohol dependency, depression, and anxiety, leading to an isolated lifestyle.
