CRAIG CHRISP FROM CARDENDEN SENTENCED FOR SEX OFFENCES IN DUNFERMLINE

A 34-year-old man residing in Cardenden has been officially placed on the sex offenders register following his involvement in criminal activities targeting a woman.

The individual, identified as Craig Chrisp, who lives at The Farmhouse, Balgreggie Farm, Balgreggie Road, appeared before Dunfermline Sheriff Court to face sentencing for his actions.

It was established during the court proceedings that Mr.

Chrisp had engaged in a pattern of abusive conduct towards a woman over a period spanning from October 14, 2022, to March 15 of the following year.

His misconduct included making derogatory remarks directed at the woman, physically touching her despite her clear requests for him not to do so, and forcibly seizing her on the body.

These actions caused significant distress and were deemed serious enough to warrant legal action.

Sheriff Krista Johnston presided over the case and ultimately handed down a sentence that reflects the gravity of the offences.

Mr.

Chrisp was ordered to complete a community payback order, which involves two years of supervised activity aimed at rehabilitation and community service.

As part of his sentence, he is also required to participate in the Caledonian Programme, a scheme designed to address behavioural issues and promote positive change.

Furthermore, in accordance with the court’s decision, Mr.

Chrisp has been registered on the sex offenders register for a period of two years.

This registration is a legal requirement intended to monitor his activities and prevent further offences, ensuring public safety and accountability for his actions.
