MANCHESTER MAN IAN HULME JAILED FOR CHILD SEXUAL ABUSE
Ian Hulme, a 72-year-old resident of Rhuddlan, was sentenced to a total of four years and two months in prison after admitting to charges of indecent assault. His criminal activity took place in the early 1980s while he was residing in Sale, where he engaged in grooming and sexually abusing two young boys over a span of approximately three years.
Hulme insisted that his actions served an educational purpose, but law enforcement officials described him as manipulative and strategic, exploiting the children for personal gratification.
Detective Constable Emma Cyprien of GMP's Trafford division stated, "Hulme is a manipulative and calculated individual who exploited these children for his own selfish motives.
Child sexual abuse causes enduring trauma that can affect victims' entire lives." The court's ruling is intended to underline that such behavior is unacceptable and will be met with appropriate punishment.
