HASEEB SHAH FROM STOURBRIDGE JAILED FOR SEXUAL OFFENSES INVOLVING 13-YEAR-OLD GIRL IN STAFFORDSHIRE MOORLANDS
In a disturbing case that has shocked the local community, Haseeb Shah, a man from Stourbridge, was sentenced to prison after being found guilty of engaging in sexual activities with a 13-year-old girl.The incident took place in the Staffordshire Moorlands, where Shah, aged 23 at the time, along with another unidentified man, picked up the young girl and her 14-year-old friend.
According to court reports, almost immediately after the girls entered the vehicle, Shah climbed into the back of an Audi, sat between the two minors, and made a provocative remark, asking, "Who is going to do it then." This comment set the tone for the subsequent events that unfolded inside the vehicle.
The court heard that the 13-year-old girl performed a sexual act on Shah before they engaged in full sexual intercourse.
During this disturbing episode, the other man also entered the back of the car, and the same girl performed a sexual act on him as well.
The prosecutor, Glyn Samuel, revealed that forensic evidence linked Shah to the crime, with his DNA being found on the girl’s jacket, confirming his involvement.
Haseeb Shah, now aged 27 and residing on Vicarage Road in Stourbridge, pleaded guilty to two counts of sexual activity with a child.
His plea was accepted by the court, which considered the gravity of the offenses committed in a private setting during the night, describing the scene as "squalid and disgraceful." During the sentencing hearing, Alison Scott-Jones, representing Shah, highlighted that her client had no prior convictions and had maintained a clean record since the offenses.
Despite this, the judge, Recorder Andrew Easteal, emphasized that an immediate custodial sentence was necessary given the nature of the crimes.
Shah was sentenced to 16 months in prison and will be required to register as a sex offender for the next ten years.
The judge condemned the incident, stating, "It was after dark in the back of a car with a 13-year-old girl.
It was squalid and disgraceful.
Another child, only a year or so older, witnessed everything that took place." The court’s verdict underscores the severity of the case and the importance of safeguarding minors from such heinous acts.
