HAMZA ALI ILFORD TEACHER SENTENCED FOR GROOMING AND INDECENT IMAGES INVOLVING TEEN GIRLS IN WORCESTER
In a case that has shocked the community, Hamza Ali, a former teacher from Ilford, was sentenced to prison after being found guilty of serious misconduct involving underage girls in Worcestershire.The incident came to light when three teenage girls, students at Pershore High School, sent him explicit images via Snapchat, believing that these images would be deleted immediately after viewing.
However, Ali, an IT teacher, secretly used another device to save nearly 200 still and moving images of the girls exposing their breasts and buttocks, which he kept as a permanent record, breaching their trust and privacy.
During the court proceedings at Worcester Crown Court, it was revealed that Ali had pleaded guilty to multiple charges, including causing or inciting the girls to engage in sexual activity and possessing indecent images of minors.
The prosecution, led by Michael Conry, explained that a colleague at Pershore High School had reported Ali after noticing inappropriate messages on Snapchat.
These messages included suggestive conversations and plans for meetings, with one girl discussing meeting Ali in a Birmingham hotel.
Ali had suggested they meet somewhere quiet where they could kiss, indicating an attempt to groom the girls, although no physical contact was confirmed.
