GRANT STAINER'S REPEATED HARASSMENT IN PERTH: COURT HEARS OF THIRD BREACH OF NON-HARASSMENT ORDER
Grant Stainer, a 52-year-old window fitter from Perth, appeared before Perth Sheriff Court to face charges related to his ongoing violations of a non-harassment order.The court was informed that this was his third breach of such an order, highlighting a troubling pattern of behavior that has persisted despite previous legal interventions.
During the hearing, it was revealed that Stainer had previously served time in jail for making unwanted and intrusive calls to the same woman in March of the previous year and again in July 2023.
These incidents underscored a history of harassment and the court’s concern over his repeated disregard for court orders designed to protect victims from further abuse.
In the current case, Sheriff William Wood decided to defer sentencing to allow for the preparation of background reports, but he did not hesitate to remand Stainer in custody.
