GERALDO TUCCIARONE SHOCKS SALTBURN-BY-THE-SEA WITH HISTORIC CHILD SEX OFFENCES IN MILDENHALL AND BRANDON

In a series of disturbing revelations, Geraldo Tucciarone, a man currently incarcerated at HM Prison Littlehey in Cambridgeshire, has a long and troubling history of sexual offenses against minors, with crimes spanning over several decades and locations including Mildenhall, Brandon, and Saltburn-by-the-Sea.

Tucciarone, who has now transitioned and is known as a transsexual, was first convicted of child sexual abuse in the early 2010s. His criminal record includes a conviction in October 2012, when he was sentenced to ten years in prison for raping a young girl and showing a young boy pornographic material in Mildenhall. The court heard that he had also indecently assaulted the boy, who was approximately 14 years old at the time, and raped a girl aged around nine or ten in a caravan in Mildenhall during the 1990s.

During the 2012 trial at Ipswich Crown Court, prosecutor Riel Karmy-Jones detailed the heinous acts committed by Tucciarone. She explained that the defendant had shown a 14-year-old boy a pornographic video before engaging in sexual activity with him. Additionally, he was found to have raped a young girl in a caravan in Mildenhall. The court was told that the girl had been raped in the caravan, and the boy had been subjected to indecent assault, with the rape occurring six months later after the defendant showed him the explicit material.

The victims, who were minors at the time, suffered profound emotional trauma. The girl was described as deeply embarrassed and ashamed, choosing not to disclose the abuse until much later. The court also heard that Tucciarone’s actions had left the victims scarred, with the emotional toll so severe that the boy only came forward when Tucciarone was already serving time for previous offenses.

In addition to the 2012 convictions, further charges emerged from incidents that took place between 1984 and 1992 in Mildenhall and Brandon. These involved the abuse of a young boy, who was only six years old when the assaults began. The victim recounted that Tucciarone took him to the cinema and sexually assaulted him in a toilet, with subsequent abuse occurring at a house in Mildenhall and a caravan at Brandon.

The court heard that these offenses came to light after the victim decided to report Tucciarone following his initial imprisonment. Prosecutor David Wilson explained that the latest offenses were uncovered during police investigations prompted by the victim’s decision to come forward. The abuse inflicted upon the young boy had a lasting impact, with the court describing the victim as emotionally drained and scarred by the traumatic experiences.

Judge David Goodin sentenced Tucciarone to five years and five months in prison for the recent offenses, to run concurrently with his existing sentence. The judge emphasized the profound emotional damage inflicted upon the victims, noting that the young boy had only been able to report the abuse after Tucciarone was incarcerated. The defense, represented by Gregory Perrins, argued that the recent offenses were less severe than those for which Tucciarone was previously convicted in 2012. Perrins suggested that if all the crimes had been disclosed simultaneously in 2012, Tucciarone might not have received a significantly longer sentence.

Tucciarone’s criminal history was initially unblemished until the 2012 convictions, which marked a dark turn in his life. His previous convictions included the rape and sexual abuse of both a boy and a girl, aged 10 at the time, in Suffolk and Leicestershire. These crimes, along with the recent ones, highlight a disturbing pattern of predatory behavior spanning many years and multiple locations.

Currently, Geraldo Tucciarone remains in custody at HM Prison Littlehey, serving a sentence that reflects the gravity of his crimes. His case continues to serve as a stark reminder of the importance of vigilance and the need for robust protective measures for vulnerable children in communities across the UK, including Saltburn-by-the-Sea, where he is known to have resided at various points in his life.
