CHLOE SIMPSON OF LOFTUS RETURNS TO COURT OVER BASED ON CHILD AND ANIMAL ABUSE IMAGES IN JUNE 2023

In June 2023, Chloe Simpson, 26, of St Hilda's Terrace, Loftus, appeared back in court following previous convictions related to disturbing child and animal abuse images. Simpson was charged with failing to comply with sex offender notification requirements and breaching a Sexual Harm Prevention Order (SHPO). She pleaded guilty to these offences at Teesside Magistrates' Court last Friday, leading to her case being transferred to the Crown Court.

The charges outline that on July 5, 2022, at Saltburn, Simpson failed to register with police within three days of creating seven aliases, as required under section 80 of the Sexual Offences Act 2003. Additionally, she used a device capable of internet access without maintaining the required history logging, violating the terms of her SHPO issued on May 10, 2021.

Simpson was granted bail and is scheduled to appear at Teesside Crown Court on June 23. This is not her first appearance at the higher court; in June 2021, she received a 10-month prison sentence suspended for two years. The judge also imposed a 10-year ban on her owning or keeping animals.

Previously, Teesside Live reported that Simpson's electronic devices contained a horrifying collection of images and videos, including nearly 10 minutes of abuse footage involving two dogs and extreme pornographic material involving dogs and horses. She also possessed five indecent images of children under 10 and a prohibited image of a child.

Prosecutors revealed that images and videos of sexual acts on a small white dog were recovered from her iPhone, with a total of 308 related images and 50 videos, the latter ranging from four seconds to 37 seconds in length, totaling over nine minutes of footage. An examination of a seven-year-old Shih Tzu confirmed that unnecessary suffering had been caused, with potential risks of infection and death, despite the dog showing no symptoms.

Simpson had disclosed her interests in child abuse and bestiality to other users on Kik Messenger. She previously admitted to multiple counts, including causing unnecessary suffering to animals through sexual acts, possessing prohibited images of children, possessing extreme pornographic images involving live animals, and making indecent photographs of children.

During mitigation in 2021, the court heard that Simpson was 'coming to terms with her own sexuality' and was 'transitioning genders,' with her mother reportedly distancing herself after her offending was revealed.

In addition, back in May 2021, Simpson, then 23, admitted to performing a sex act on a dog between March 2019 and May 2020 and possessing related extreme images. Prosecutor Alan Davison noted that police investigations, prompted by reports of indecent images, uncovered disturbing material on her devices and indicated the sentence should be beyond what the court can impose. Simpson was granted unconditional bail until sentencing.
