NOTTINGHAM MAN GETS LIFE FOR PARTNER'S BRUTAL STABBING DEATH
Geoffrey Hemming, aged 52 and from Nottinghamshire, carried out a severe domestic killing by stabbing his partner, Denise Williamson, who was 44 years old.
The attack took place inside their family residence on Hazelwood Drive in Hucknall, where Hemming delivered 10 stab wounds to her last July.
Her body was found in the kitchen by her 17-year-old son.
Hemming admitted to the murder on 16 December and was sentenced at Nottingham Crown Court to life imprisonment, with a minimum term of 18 years.
The judge called the murder a "brutal and unnecessary killing," highlighting the profound effect on Williamson's family, particularly her son.
Court documents reveal that paramedics responded to the scene, treated Ms.
Williamson, and transported her to the hospital, where she passed away shortly thereafter.
