HARTLEPOOL PERVERT THREATENED TO SHARE VIDEO OF CHILD ON DARK WEB
Nile, also known as Thomson, of Chesterton Road, Hartlepool, pleaded guilty to blackmail and arranging to commit a child sex offence.
The court heard how he made contact with a victim, befriended her on social media, and gained access to a video of her child.
He threatened to post the video on the dark web unless the mother sexually abused her child.
The victim was concerned when Nile downloaded the clip and confronted him, leading to his arrest after police traced his IP address.
He was sentenced to 30 months in prison and ordered to sign the sex offenders’ register for life.
Nile had suffered developmental problems and attended a specialist school.
