PONTARDAWE MAN JAILED AFTER BRUTAL STREET ATTACK IN SWANSEA
Ethan Bartlett, formerly of High Street in Pontardawe but now of Beacons View, Cimla, Neath, had previously pleaded guilty to inflicting grievous bodily harm and to possession of cannabis when he appeared in the dock for sentencing.
He has a string of previous assaults on his record which have seen him variously punching, kicking or spitting at people including a police officer, a 13-year-old-girl, his mother, a man with learning disabilities, and a former teacher.
In September 2021 he was sentenced to 12 months in prison for assault occasioning actual bodily harm after pushing a 72-year-old man to the floor on a canal towpath and then kicking and punching him and spitting at him as he lay on the ground.
At the time of the Oxford Street assault he was subject to an 18-month conditional discharged imposed by magistrates for assaulting a man on a street in Pontardawe last August.
