BIRMINGHAM MAN EMMANUEL JOHNSON JAILED FOR STALKING AND THREATS
A man named Emmanuel Johnson, who was previously convicted and subject to a ten-year restraining order for controlling and coercive behavior towards his former partner, has been identified as a stalker. He subjected his ex-partner to a persistent series of unwanted and menacing contacts, telling her, 'I will never leave you alone,' and explicitly threatening physical violence by stating he would shoot her in the face.
His threatening conduct prompted police intervention earlier in the year, leading to a wanted notice for his arrest.
Despite this, Johnson continued his threatening actions, making contact again in December with threats to shoot her and sending a Snapchat request.
He also reached out to her friends, threatened to track her vehicle using an Apple AirTag, and declared he would 'write you off.' Johnson was eventually arrested in July and admitted to making calls and sending messages but insisted his communication was not criminal.
His victim has suffered significant distress, having changed her contact details and considered enhancing her home security due to fears for her safety.
Court proceedings revealed that Johnson was previously jailed and ordered to stay away from her for ten years.
His ongoing harassment led to a sentence of two years and four months at Birmingham Crown Court, after he pleaded guilty to stalking causing serious alarm and distress, witness intimidation, and breach of his restraining order.
The judge highlighted Johnson’s apparent lack of remorse and imposed an additional indefinite restraining order preventing any contact with his former partner.
