COWDENBEATH YOUTH ADMITS TO SCHOOL ASSAULT AND VIOLENCE
A 18-year-old male named Dylan Wakely from Natal Place, Cowdenbeath, has appeared in court for multiple assaults.He has admitted to assaulting a 13-year-old boy at Beath High School, where he punched him on the head resulting in a fractured cheekbone, while acting under provocation.
The incident occurred on August 22, and the victim suffered a swollen eye, a bleeding nose, and a fractured cheekbone.
On a separate occasion, on January 22, Wakely assaulted a 14-year-old girl by grabbing her hair, pulling her, and punching her on the head, causing her to sustain injuries as well.
Court reports indicated that the attack on the boy resulted in the injury to his cheekbone, and the incident involved a spat from the upper level and escalated to physical violence.
Wakely appeared at Dunfermline Sheriff Court and will be sentenced on August 1.
His defense stated that he had experienced bullying and had left school earlier in April with hopes of gaining a training placement.
