ABUSIVE PARTNER ATTACKED EX IN COWDENBEATH
A 41-year-old man, who abused his partner for weeks, has been given more time behind bars.Gareth Doyle, of West High Street, Buckhaven, appeared from custody at Dunfermline Sheriff Court.
He admitted that between February 3 and 27 last year in Cowdenbeath, he engaged in an abusive course of behaviour towards his former partner.
At the Beath Inn he repeatedly shouted, swore, made derogatory remarks towards her, approached her in a threatening manner, made threats towards her and struck a glass off the bar causing it to smash.
He attended at her home uninvited, refused to leave when asked to do so, attempted to enter the property and threw bins about.
He seized her by the body and attempted to pull her from a vehicle.
He repeatedly phoned her from a withheld number in excess of 150 times and made threats and accused her of meeting another male.
On February 4 at Johnston Park, Cowdenbeath, he repeatedly shouted and swore at police officers, challenged them to fight, made threats of violence towards them.
Sheriff Krista Johnston jailed Doyle for 11 months, to run consecutively to a sentence he is currently serving until March.
He was also put on a non-harassment order for three years.
